My husband and I went to see Dave Matthews last night at the Ford Amphitheater. We've been big fans of his for many years. Being there reminded me of my son. He's 7 now, but when he was two, I got so incredibly mad at him one day and yelled at him worse then I ever had previously. I had horrible mom guilt after that and documented my feelings on a page in our family scrapbook. This was the picture I used on that page, over four years ago, with the words from Dave Matthews song "Where are you going". I always wonder what he'll be when he grows up. He changes so quickly now, his interests, yet he loves so many things. Which one of those, or maybe something entirely unforeseen , will he choose for his career? I wonder!
Where are you going?
With your long face
Pulling down
Don't hide away
Like an ocean
That you can't see but you can smell
And the sound of the waves crash down
I am no Superman
I have no reasons for you
I am no hero
Oh, that's for sure
But I do know one thing
Is where you are is where I belong
I do know where you go
Is where I want to be
Where are you going?
Where do you go?
Are you looking for answers
To questions under the stars?
Well, if along the way
You are grown weary
You can rest with me until
A brighter day and you're okay
I am no Superman
I have no answers for you
I am no hero
Oh, that's for sure
But I do know one thing
Is where you are is where I belong
I do know where you go
Is where I want to be
Where are you going?
Where do you go?
Where do you go?
Where are you going?
Where do you go?
I am no Superman
I have no answers for you
I am no hero
Oh, that's for sure
But I do know one thing
Is here you are is where I belong
I do know where you go
Is where I want to be
Where are you going?
Where do you go?
Tell me, where are you going?
Where?
Well, let's go

Cute picture! I love the BW!
Thanks for sharing!
Aww.. its always so hard when you look at pictures of your kids and are like OMG he is so big. we were looking at Taylor's scrapbook the other day and Im like I can not believe in Feb he will be 9 it doesnt seem so long. I do that too though write song lyrics in their albums. Taylor has "I hope you dance" and Cameron "Arms Wide Open" by Creed. Currently Aidan and Xander have none but then again being the bad mom they barely have photos or stuff to put in it(Can you see that you will be called upon in the future to help this) - Take care of you see you soon.
